At the Players Presentation night, Director of Rugby, Mark Richardson announced that Mike Scott would be rejoining Aspatria from Kendal.
In the past season Mike has proved with National Two side Kendal that he is still capable of performing at the highest level. In addition to bolstering the Black Reds on the pitch, Mike will also join the new look coaching set-up. Full details of the changes being made at Bower Park will be unveiled at a players meeting on Tuesday 29th June. The meeting starts at 7 pm prompt.
The meeting is 'closed doors - players only' and will be conducted by Mike Tinnion with the support of other members of the Players Committee.
The meeting will cover the following areas.
- The Role of the Players Committee
- New coaching team
- Playing strategy
- Player welfare
- Open question and answer session
All current players are asked to make every effort to attend the meeting. Any new players who are looking to join the Black Reds are also welcome.
